God blessed us to procure 257 acres of beautiful land for Home LAEL with around 25 acres of hay fields, wooded areas, a small stream, nice sized beaver pond, snowmobile trails and over 7 miles of trails. We are situated less than 20 miles from Bangor International Airport and around 50 miles from Acadia National Park.
Next step:
Wood harvesting. Areas of the property need to be cleared for future boys homes, and clear additional 25 acres for additional fields, this will provide some start-up funds for the roads.
Site planning. Working with engineers to determine ideal locations on the property for boy’s homes, staff housing, septic, utilities, athletic fields and the main administration building.
Begin construction. Our first step will be to build a road into the land. Once the roads are established we will bring in the necessary utilities to the first boys’ home site.
